CONFERENCE
They had a special room set up for those of us who speak English. We had a small group of women and Arnold. Pictured are JoAnn, Sister Lyons, Sister Orten (just before going on her mission she spent a year in Summerlin), and Sister Egbert.
The session was so wonderful. Arnold even asked if he could be a part of the Relief Society because it was so good. Sister Egbert said, "Sure, but you will have to wear a skirt."
Our favorite talks were those by the Relief Society General Presidency and President Uchtdorf.
We were so excited to hear that there would be a temple in Rome, Italy. It was so cute how President Monson reacted when the audience practically gasped at the news. All of the talks were great, but JoAnn especially enjoyed the one from the Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency. The one phrase that sticks out from all the talks is, "You may not know everything, but you know enough." It helps is so many ways to really believe that. We do not have to be perfect to be able to do much good. Whatever faith we possess, that is enough to do wonderful things.
Unfortunately, Arnold's knee began to give him trouble so we were not able to attend any of the other sessions of conference, but will have to wait for them to come out on the Internet to read the talks there. Conference time is our favorite time of the year. Nothing helps build us up like hearing from our Prophet and leaders.
